Hi! I’m Russ R. Robinson, or “R3.”

I am a self-taught impressionist specializing in pointillism. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I also teach children and host paint parties.

I call my work “Coloring” because after 20 years of not lifting a pencil or brush, I rekindled my passion for creating through coloring books for mindfulness. My goal is to add some more color to the world…one dot at a time.

My style focuses on simple compositions created with messy, yet fluid strokes - it’s “orderly chaos.”

My collections celebrate the impermanence of nature - attempting to playfully capture its color, energy, and movement.
